Bosom P-Yung Talks About Changing Hair Colour, His Desire To “Eat” Wendy Shay: Sees Ghana`s Music Industry As A Kiosk

Ataa Adwoa hitmaker Bosom P-Yung has diclosed he will be serving music fans both in and outside the country with two separate albums this year.

Speaking on Zylofon FM’s flagship programme Showbiz Agenda with Sammy Flex, he revealed he is working on two albums in 2020. One is targeted at his international audience and the other one is targeted at his core fans on the streets. He said the albums come with songs of different genres.

“The first one is more of commercial songs. More of hindi, Afro vibes, UK vibes etc. featuring names of major acts. But the second one is a trap album. More crazy stuff on it for my boys on the street. Each album comes with a different feel” he said. Touching on his brand and how people think about his stage name, he said he is not bothered because he sees positivity in his name.

“I will never change my name Bosom. It is for ever but the colors of my hairstyle will change. I will change my hair color after my first album. I have locked my mind on my Bosom name. It depends on the individual`s minds on how they take or understand my name. I have taken the name on a positive mindset and I know it will make positive impact. My Bosom name has nothing to do with the traditional beliefs because no one has seen a living Bosom before. I am a living Bosom and its positive” he told Sammy Flex.

According to him, he is focused on doing his own thing as an artiste and has never considered himself as being part of Ghana’s music industry. “I feel I’m not part of the music industry since day one. I see it as a kiosk. I have my own mindset and doing my own thing. But if you people believe I’m part of it, then I welcome myself. I am not into any competition or any box. My mind has always been to feed my fans with music. Now that you making me know the steps to take to be considered as an industry person which I have achieved, I officially welcome myself” he said.

Bosom revealed that his feature with Wendy never added numbers to him. He said he had the numbers already but it made people really understood his style very well. He added that it has also confirmed his versatility in the music industry. According to the singer, he really likes Wendy Shay and agrees she is Ghana’s Beyonce.

He also refuted claims that he refused Ahkan’s feature because of elements on the song. “The issues are plenty but let me confirm this, it is not true. I am very positive and very cool with Ahkan. He is a great talent for real. I only told him I’m not ready for the song. When I’m not ready I’m not ready. Songs are vibe so when you not ready, you not ready. AY Poyoo and all those guys featured on the song are good talents. Shout outs to Ablekuma Nana Lace, I feel that guy” he explained.

P-Yung is currently known for songs like ‘Attaa Adwoa’, ‘Berma’, ‘Wonhuso’, ‘Odo Ndwom’ and many hit songs. He is currently promoting his new single titled “Gyimigyimi”.
