Popular industry contributor Ayisha Modi together with Abass Sariki and some celebrities took to the streets of Accra to call for peace ahead of the December 7 elections.
The peace walk began from Accra Mall to Ashaley Botwe on Friday with popular stars such as Kwaku Manu, Lilwin, Funny Face, Zack GH, Ayisha Modi, Pamela Watara, comedian Ajeezay and Di Asa winner Precious Mensah who is widely known as PM.
The crowd who were mostly fans of dancehall musician Stonebwoy, embarked on the healthy peace walk to campaign against malice before, during and after the elections.
“All we need is a peaceful election. The peace we enjoy in this country is priceless and we cannot afford to mess with it. The youth should not allow any politician to influence them to be violent. Just go out to vote and go back home. Whether NDC or NPP, we are all one people and must live like that” Abass said.
Ayisha Modi added: “Elections is not about being violent. It is about taking a decision with your thumb and we should be peaceful about it. I urge the youth to stay away from any form of violence in the coming elections”.
