Sark Natives, BHIM Natives, SM Empire & HighGrade Members Don`t Make Hit Songs- Ricky Rick
Ricky Rick, a member of 3Media Network has stated that there is no fan army in Ghana who can make a song a hit but rather, they hold their artistes down for relevance purposes. If his assertion is true, then what is the importance of keeping a large fan army who can`t make a song a hit like the BHIM Nations, Sark Nations, SM Empire and the High Grades? Big question huh?
In a discussion with Sammy Flex on Zylofon FM, he said all the hit songs in Ghana are made by the general public and not the fan armies. According to him, if an artiste makes a song that sounds good to consumers, they will automatically jam to it aside the fan army of that particular artiste.
Again, he said middle class people and DJs play major roles in making a hit song. Ricky Rick further said fan army just holds the brand of the artiste and makes the celebrities solid with huge relevance. He was of the opinion that, what the fans do is to purchase tickets to attend events of their favourite artistes and not making songs hit.
