Popular Ghanaian dancer Dancegodlloyd has opined that Ghanaian music awards schemes should consider creating categories for dancers in music awards because they do a lot of work off camera and contribute to music a lot.
Speaking exclusively to Broadcaster Sammy Flex over the weekend at Ghana Music Awards France nominees launch, the dancer made a plea to top industry players to consider a slot for them.
“It`s about time because we do a lot of underground work but we are not really appreciated. But then I believe one day we will get our slots. Sometimes we watch artiste win awards with music videos that you played a lot of roles in them but we don’t get any recognition or love for it. So we plead that those at the top consider giving us a slot” he said.
In this interview Dancegodlloyd also responded to allegations that dance challenges created lately are becoming one way. He said those raising such arguments may not be wrong but are not right entirely because they consider so many things before creating these dance moves.
