Multiple award winning film director Frank Fiifi Gharbin has responded to claims by Agya Koo that he was sidelined by Kumawood directors because he refused to go naked as instructed by the director during the making of the movie Okomfo Anokye claiming he is only seeking to win public sympathy from Ghanaians.
In a Facebook post by the director on Sunday, he described the actor’s claims as ridiculous and one that must not be believed because he wasn’t been truthful.
Below is unedited post from the director’s timeline:
“There Were So Many People On The Set Including The Villagers And The Chiefs Watching Us Shooting And The Director Said…I Should Go NAKED In Full View Of Everyone And I Said No.(AGYA KOO, KINGDOM FM).
HAHAHAHA 🤣…And U Guys BELIEVE That? Which Film DIRECTOR In His Right Senses Will Say Or Do That? Let’s Be Realistic Here…He Is Just Using That To Win Public Sympathy, So That People Will Say, Ooh, So It’s Because AGYA KOO Didn’t Go Naked In A Movie, That’s Why They Sideline Him, That’s Why His Career Is DEAD Etc. But He Is Not Telling Ghanaians What He Did On The BAD Side. 😊….I’m A Man Of PEACE 🙏 That’s Why I Invited Him To Come And Shoot My New Series KOFI GHANA, I Said, Let’s Forget About The Past And Work, Only To See Him On Radio Ridiculing The DIRECTING Profession…ITS SAD…I Still Want To Work With Him, But Instead Of Him To Act As A Man, He Is Always Complaining About The Same Thing Which Is Not Bringing Any Progress To The Industry….ITS ONLY A MAD MAN, WHO WILL TELL AGYA KOO TO GO NAKED IN FULL VIEW OF EVERYONE…. DON’T BELIEVE THAT STORY…ITS AN INSULT TO PROFESSIONALISM IN FILM MAKING…He Is Just Making A Mockery Of The Same Film Industry, That Made Him AGYA KOO 😊 But He Don’t Know.”
