“I Nearly Committed Suicide Due To Frustration And Depression” – 22-Year-Old Musician Kiki Marley Reveals

Princess to RuffTown Records music queen Wendy Shay, Kiki Marley has revealed she nearly committed suicide due to frustration and depression when things got tough for her in her ghetto living days.

Speaking to Andy Dosty on Hitz FM, she disclosed that her parents are divorced and had to survive after secondary school but life became insufferable and she nearly gave up.

She indicated this got her more closer to her label boss.

“So the reason that actually got me more closer to him was when I had an incident in 2019. It was a suicide issue. I’d wanted to take my life. Because I was going through a lot. Things were not moving on well so at that moment, that was what actually came to my mind” she told Andy Dosty.

She added: “And I have evidence to this on my hand, stomach and some scars on my body. I was frustrated and depressed, like a whole lot was going down. I was done with school and my music career, like I didn’t know where to channel it. I was so confused. I wasn’t going to school, I wasn’t working, I was always home. So I moved from the house to Tafo just to hustle. So living in the ghetto, struggling, like all these little things amounted to such thinking”.

According to her, her father was in Kumasi and mom was in Nigeria at that time. She revealed she is not the only child, they are five.
