Video + “Awards Organizers In Ghana Don’t Listen To The People” – Shatta Wale

CEO of Shatta Movement and multiple award winning reggae/dancehall artiste Charles Nii Armarh Mensah aka Shatta Wale has said that his biggest problem with Ghanaian award schemes is that they fail to listen to the masses/people.

On Zylofon FM’s Showbiz Agenda with Sammy Flex, Shatta explained that award schemes in Ghana and the people around it behave like politicians, being authoritative and always don’t want to pay attention to anyone especially to musicians. He further added that politicians are even better than Ghanaian award schemes.

According to him, the award schemes in Ghana always twist the reality instead of them giving the award to who deserves it, they rather give the awards to the one they love and that’s not fair. He continues that’s why he always rants on Facebook to address such issues.

“My problem with award schemes in Ghana is that they just don’t want to listen to the people. Award schemes in Ghana and the people around the schemes want to behave like politicians and that is not how politicians even behave. We see a hit song. The song has been popular and everybody knows the song. Say Sammy Flex your song this year no challenger and we go to the awards and the winner goes to another person. It has been a problem for the people of Ghana and not only the industry people even complain a lot,” he bitterly lamented.
