“If President Nana Addo Pays Menzgold Customers, We will Demonstrate Against government” – Afia Schwarzenegger
Ghanaian media personality Afia Schwarzenegger has said that president Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo is not responsible for the lost investments of Menzgold customers and that if government pays them, she will lead series of demonstrations against the government.
According to Afia, Bank of Ghana warned these customers about how fraudulent Menzgold is but they held demonstration against BoG. She said government is not responsible for such loss and that the customers should rather deal with NAM1.
“Don’t ever think Nana Addo is the cause of your lost investments. He is innocent and has done nothing wrong. Like I keep saying, you don’t go to a doctor who has no license for medicine to your illness. You can’t open a company without license and expect government to come engage you to give you license. So I beg, you have lost the money. Because Bank of Ghana warned you that Menzgold is fraudulent and you demonstrated against BoG. So who should come pay you? During the campaign too, I did not hear any leader assuring you of paying your lost investments. We will also demonstrate if government tries to pay you” she said.
She further explained: “Assuming we wake up and see drug dealers rent stores at Makola to trade drugs with the excuse that they’re going to engage government to give them license to do drug business. Menzgold customers, I feel your pain but the truth is that the money is locked. It`s a lost investment. And government is not responsible for such loss. It is not the president that pays for such lost monies. If the susu collector chops your money, it is not your village chief that pays. Direct your anger and grievances to the CEO of Menzgold, Nana Appiah Mensah popularly known as NAM1 because President Nana Addo will not use taxpayers money to settle your loses. We will resist that too and will never allow him do that. There will be series of demonstrations against that as well. We feel your pain but leave the president out of it. Bank of Ghana warned you. Deal with NAM1. Thank you for understanding. If susu collector chops your money, it is not your pastor that pays”.
