Video + Kwaw Kese Finally Gets A Challenger On His Covid 19 Rants: German Based Artiste K Daanso Fires Back
German based Reggae/Dancehall sensation K’Daanso has disagreed vehemently on Kwaw Kese’s rants and commended Ghana government over COVID-19 test fee at the airport, an act the former sees as extorting money from Ghanaians.
The “abodam” rapper was recently seen in a video waging war against the Akufo Addo led NPP government and the Ghana immigration service over the debatable $150 COVID -19 test fee but the Germany based Ghanaian reggae/dancehall artiste K’Daanso sees nothing wrong with that and has even praised government for it’s swift process as compared to Germany where they demand same charges before you leave the airport.
“Ghana has done well. The reason is before I came to Ghana, I did another instant test in Germany and paid the same amount 140 euros. But in Germany, instant results cost same 140 euros. If you don’t like instant, you pay a little less than 140 euros. In Germany, it takes six hours for instant results but when I got to Ghana, it took only 30 minutes for same amount and I think we need to praise ourselves as a country for that. This is wonderful. We have done well because it takes as long as six hours with same amount in Germany. So if I should compare the two, then I will say Ghana needs to be praised” he told Sammy Flex on Showbiz Agenda on Zylofon 102.1 FM.
The “Jolly Dey Go” song writer added: “I am talking for myself and when I meet anyone, I tell them Ghana has done well in this case. Initially, I thought I was going to do two weeks quarantine but I got here and it was opened and that is why I brought my family down. I would have come alone to do the quarantine since I don’t have a problem with it at all”.
Touching on his music career in this pandemic era, he said it affected every musician everywhere and he is not an exception. According to him, he had lots of shows to play with his band but had to cancel all the shows because of restrictions as a result of COVID-19 but played some few virtual concerts. “COVID has really affected us. I have cancelled lots of shows. Luckily for me, some promoters and organizers have postponed our contracts to next year. That is good news for me but I am hoping to hear something good from other organizers as well. Even in Germany, our music union and the government paid us some monies for the gigs we lost” he revealed.
