“I Am The King Of The Street, Whatever You Are Doing Now Is What I Did In The Past” – Kwaw Kese To Ghanaian Musicians
Multiple award winning Ghanaian rapper and MadTime Entertainment boss, Kwaw Kese is claiming he is still the king of the streets and will forever remain the only king. Kwaw said Shatta Wale, Sarkodie and Stonebwoy’s kingship remain under him.
Kwaw Kese who was speaking on Ekwanso Dwoodwoo with Abeiku Santana said there are music kings ruling their individual fanbase but he remains the king of kings on the streets.
“I am still the King of the street, forever. Let me tell you if Asantehene is the only King in Ghana then there wouldn’t be other Kings in other places. But we have the Ga King, Gonja King in the north, Kyebi King, a Volta King so we can’t have one King. But some Kings became Kings before others. I am the King of Kings on the streets. This is not my new name or tag. This is something everybody knows. Whatever the artistes are emulating or doing right now is something I have done in the past” he said.
When asked about how he feels when people refer to him as one that inspired the madness in the youths of Swedru, he responded: “I am very proud to inspire the madness in the youths of Swedru. I am the one who paved the way musically. People from Swedru were not recognized like that. We made people know Swedru. I remember when I came to Accra, people laughed at me when I speak my language. So I was like okay, if this is funny then let me use it to do music to entertain the people”.
Kwaw Kese is currently promoting his Victory album which was released on August 28, 2020.
