George Quaye Calls On Government To Announce Punitive Measures For COVID-19 Infected Persons Who Mingle With The Rest Of The Population

Ghanaian actor and host of Showbiz A to Z on Joy 99.7 FM, George Nii Armah Quaye also known as Aboagye or GQ has called on the president His Excellency Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo to announce some severe punitive measures for Covid-19 infected persons who mingle with the rest of the population.

George Quaye who described such persons as suicide bombers shared this on his Facebook timeline:

ARREST THEM!!!!!
If you have tested positive for Covid1-19 and still go to work and to other public places like it’s fine,
YOU ARE A THREAT TO NATIONAL SECURITY!

Dear Mr. President,
Could you kindly announce some severe punitive measures (even jail term – solitary confinement if possible) for those who have tested positive for Covid-19, know it very well and still mingle with the rest of the population like it’s just okay?
These people are no different from suicide bombers/mass murderers. How do you carry such a dangerous virus round knowing very well you could easily be spreading it millions whose immune systems may not be as solid as yours and who may not even have the resources available to you to deal with it. How? Please let’s all endeavour to do our bit! Let’s CALL THEM OUT! This isn’t a thing to be shy about. This is a matter of life and death!
This isn’t about stigma. If you know anyone who’s tested positive and is walking among us like it’s okay, kindly ALERT everyone they may interact with. Infact, can we even get a phone number to report such people to?
People are losing their lives on a daily basis. Visit the ICUs of the various health centers and see how people are battling with this deadly virus. For many of them it’s so painful and so uncomfortable they even pray for death! So why do we still treat it like it’s okay? If you have tested positive, STAY AT HOME (in self isolation). If you have come in contact with someone who has it, GET TESTED ASAP because you could also be spreading it without knowing.
The numbers have become names…
Most of those names are entering graves….
Let’s all endeavour to stay safe…
We WILL NOT WIN this battle if we DO NOT curtail movement of the virus.
The virus doesn’t have legs.
If you have it, ISOLATE!
