“I’d Always Prayed To God To Make Me Like Mama Cynthia Of Daughters Of Glorious Jesus” – Ohemaa Mercy
Popular Ghanaian gospel minstrel Ohemaa Mercy has disclosed that growing up in gospel ministry, she had always prayed to God to make her just like Mama Cynthia of Daughters Of Glorious Jesus fame and she is grateful God answered her prayers.
Speaking on Ekwanso Dwoodwoo with Abeiku Santana, she said she was trained by one Okopa and Bra Sarpong coming up as a musician and they were the first musicians who took her to the recording studio but she had always looked up to Daughters Of Glorious Jesus.
“I was trained small by Okopa and bra Sarpong. They were the first to take me to the recording studio, gave me my first microphone experience. From there I really looked up to Daughters Of Glorious Jesus. Anytime they will come to Koforidua, I made sure I touch their shoes and anytime I pray, I asked God to make me like these women especially Cynthia of Daughters Of Glorious Jesus. And truly when I finally came out as a musician, I was sounding like her” she explained.
