Jupitar Praises Shatta Wale For Acknowledging Them In An Interview On OnStageTV” In Jamaica
Ghanaian reggae/dancehall artiste Jupitar De General has praised Shatta Wale for remembering to acknowledge his colleagues in an interview on one of the biggest platforms in Jamaica “OnStageTV”.
Shatta Wale in a video interview with Winford Williams on OnStage TV in Jamaica said, dancehall and reggae are not being well understood in Ghana looking at how they put reggae and dancehall in one category. “But dancehall is gradually picking up in Africa” he added.
“People in Africa listen to reggae and call it dancehall, people in Africa listen to dancehall and call in reggae but because I’m versatile and I can do dancehall, I can do the local songs to feed the people here but I believe I’m making that much,” he stated
“But dancehall is really growing gradually and that is what people like me and my brothers like Stonebwoy, Samini, Jupitar and a couple of artistes in Ghana are really pushing dancehall to the level and I believe in no time Jamaicas are going to be proud of Ghanaians,” he revealed and acknowledged some Ghanaian artistes.
The above acknowledgement made Jupitar applaud Shatta on Twitter, tweet below:
“@shattawalegh God bless you for acknowledging “we” the dancehall acts on that big platform ( @OnstageTV ) in Jamaica… In an interview he mentioned himself , @stonebwoyb
@samini_dagaati
@JupitarOfficial
and others are pushing the genre
Thank you”.
