“Only Fools Wash Their Dirty Linens In Public” – KKD
Ghanaian broadcaster and Master of Ceremonies, Kwasi Kyei Darkwah popularly known as KKD has adviced that Ghanaians should look for the good things that our creative people have been able to achieve and start looking for ways to project them positively to the world.
Speaking on TV3’s Simply Showbiz show, the ace broadcaster noted that we should spend more time elevating people who are making us proud than constantly talking about people who are not doing us proud.
“And only a fool washes their dirty linen in public. So let us look for the good things that our brothers have been able to achieve and start looking for ways to build on those. I am happy to see the likes of Sarkodie and Manifest. I am so enthused to hear the sound of Kofi Kinaata. I’m so delighted to see what Okyeame Kwame is doing. I am so proud with what Kuami Eugene is doing. I am very happy to see what Medikal is doing even though sometimes he goes incendiary with his craft” he said.
He explained: “But the point is, we have good people who can carry the torch that was late way before independence. Are we going to spend all our time constantly talking about people who are not doing us proud or are we going to find ways to elevate those who are doing us proud?”
He added: “Now he made a good example of Burna Boy, you know if you look at Afro Beat as Fela used to play back in the days, that’s what we are hearing today from Burna Boy. But not just Burna Boy because before Burna Boy, the young man who revived the life of Fela is not even doing his own sons. It`s another young man in Nigeria called D’Banj. Now people saw it and they didn’t condemn it like we do here”.
