“Kwadwo Sheldon Does sing Along & Not Music Review” – Music Producer Wei Ye Oteng

Popular music producer Wei Ye Oteng of Drum Lyne Studio has said on Sammy Flex TV that most YouTubers who claim to be doing music review only do sing along.

Wei Ye Oteng, who has produced for musicians like Trigmatic now (Tiyumba), Joyce Blessing, Obrafour, A Plus, Barima Sidney and Noble Nketsia, told Broadcastor and host of Showbiz Daily, Sammy Flex that music review goes beyond playing a song, pausing it and reacting to lines in the song.

“They’re doing their thing and that’s okay but in my opinion that is not a music review. I think they do sing along. So they sing the lines of the artiste while the song plays, pause it, react to it, play again and shout buzz ma nigga. That is not music review. If you want to do music review, you start from the top. From the intro, to the beat, the origination of melodies, if there are samples in there you point out where these samples were taken from. Now you come to the vocals. Talk about the choice of melodies that were used. So when you talk of a music review it is very large, it is a whole building” he told Sammy Flex in an interview.
