A Plus Laments Over Members Of Parliament`s Call For Increment Of Ex-gratia Package
Political activist and musician Kwame Asare Obeng, commonly known by his stage name as A Plus has lamented over members of Parliament`s call for increment in their ex-gratia package.
The singer in an Instagram post feels the call for approval of such increment is very disheartening because already Ghanaians have been crying that the 3 billion old Ghana cedis retirement benefit is too much.
He wrote: “Just when we were crying that the 3 billion old Ghana cedis retirement benefit is too much, members of Parliament have stated that until the president approves their increased ex-gratia package of a minimum threshold of six hundred thousand Ghana cedis (6 billion old Ghana cedis) as contained in the Prof. Yaa Ntiamoah Badu Report, they will also not approve packages for the executive arm of government. Simply put, scratch my back make I scratch your back.
MPs want 6 billion Ghana cedis as retirement benefit for serving the nation for 4 years. Wow!!! Servants indeed!!! #NyameTease”.
