“I Am Not A Worldly Person” – Efya Nokturnal Responds To Critics
Ghanaian singer Efya Nokturnal and Akwaboah have been described by some critics as worldly musicians who are not to be engaged by Gospel musicians after their feature on Celestine Donkor’s new song “Thank You, Yedawase”.
Some critics decended heavily on the gospel singer and questioned why she should be mingling with secular artistes. This has made some gospel channels deny the singer video airplay on their platforms.
But Efya Nokturnal has reacted to these critics saying she is not a worldly person and can do any kind of genre with her God given talent.
“I do not see myself as a worldly person. God gave the talent and I can sing in any genre of music I want” she posted on social media.
Popular socialite Ayisha Modi, better known as She Love Stonebwoy has also shared Efya’s post encouraging her to focus and shouldn’t let critics pull her down.
Ayisha posted: The “thing” that seems so easy to you is your TALENT, your gift 💝. You are certain anyone could do it, But they can’t @efya_nokturnal Don’t let them pull ur spirit Down. Stay focus 🧘♀️ cos this is your year!!!! 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥. Got you for life”.
