“Female Artistes Are Judged by Ghanaians Unnecessarily – Wendy Shay

Ghanaian Afropop/Afrobeat singer Wendy Addo known by the stage name Wendy Shay has said that female musicians in Ghana are always being judged unnecessarily.

Sharing her experience in the Ghanaian music industry for the past 2 years on Sammy Flex TV’s Showbiz Daily, she aligned some examples as to why Female acts suffer than men in the music industry.

According to the RuffTown Records signee, she said the men in the industry do things and go Scott free but if any female artiste tries it, she will not be spared.

“Kwasi Arthur is always bare chested on stage, the same fans applauding him will frown at any female act who comes on stage wearing short or skimpy dress” she revealed.

The Uber Driver singer added that, Male musicians play shows, sign deals and do other businesses with ease but female musicians are always being asked for sex in exchange of business deals.

“I do not mix business with pleasure”, she told the host
