Shatta Wale Sings Names of Accra Based Radio Stations To Announce Asaase Radio But Left One Out
Most rated dancehall artiste in Africa and Billboard’s most-watched artiste in Ghana, Shatta Wale has released a song for the latest addition to commercial radio in Ghana Asaase Radio 99.5FM as he calls it “The Voice of the Land”.
The dancehall king creatively used names of some popular radio stations in the capital to announce the presence of the new Accra based station. In the song, he mentioned stations like Oman FM, Agoo FM, Peace FM, Angel FM, Star FM, Kingdom FM, Accra FM, Citi FM, Hot FM, Sweet Melodies, Joy FM, Asempa FM, Neat FM, Pluzz FM, Breeze FM, Zylofon FM, Kasapa, Happy FM, Okay FM, No1 Radio, Class FM, Power FM, Unique FM, Vision FM, and Radio Universe to endorse the new station.
From the Multimedia camp, the popular showbiz station Hitz FM was missing in the list of names used in the song. This has sparked some sort of controversy on social media as to why he left them out.
Some people see the song as an acknowledgement song from the multiple award winning artist to radio stations so why did he leave out Hitz FM? Do you also think Shatta Wale was selective or was only being creative with this piece hence leaving out some names or could it be a pure oversight?
