“I Don’t Sponsor My Videos On YouTube But I Get More Views Than Some Artistes” – Strongman

Ghanaian rapper strongman has expressed excitement over the increased numbers on his social media pages particularly with his views on his YouTube channel, bragging that he doesn’t sponsor his videos to get views as some artistes do in recent times.

The rapper who has recently teamed up with RuffTown Records first lady Wendy Shay on his ‘Mokobe’ banger said he is really surprised at the numbers on his YouTube lately.

“I am surprised at the rate at which my views on YouTube have shot up. First, I wasn’t getting the views like that. I have realized I wasn’t doing too many featuring and after doing few, it has really contributed to the increase. For instance my song “Pilolo” with Kelvin Boy was getting the views because Kelvin Boy was sharing it to his fans. So I got to enjoy his fans liking what I do. I think I am giving the fans what they want too. And I don’t put in gas (sponsor) my videos. They’re organic. If you want to identify those that sponsor their videos you can tell from their likes and comments. I think the support is massive now and it`s really helping us in these times that we don’t play shows.” he told Sammy Flex on Showbiz Agenda via Zylofon 102.1 FM on Monday morning.

When asked if Medikal’s beef has really contributed to his numbers on YouTube, the rapper said the numbers were there already but it added some more. According to him, he didn’t beef Medikal because he needed the numbers. He said he beefed Medikal because tempers were high as at that time.

“After that beef, I have had other rappers throwing shades at me but when I know I won’t gain anything out of your beef, I won’t mind you. Some artistes beef and don’t make any gains from it. I had numbers even before I joined Sarkcess Music. I had better numbers on Instagram than all the new artistes before I got signed onto Sarkcess Music. So that perception that my fans were Sark fans has never bothered me” he added.

He further revealed that his relationship with video vixens has always been on a professional level because he is a disciplined artiste who does not get intimate or chat them after work. “It will be difficult to smooch my vixens in my videos. I am professional so it`s just work and it ends there. We don’t even vibe. I am very discipline when it comes to work” Strongman said.

Touching on his 10AM album, the rapper said it is doing very well. According to him, they are still shooting some videos and have plans of dropping other songs. He also disclosed that he will not be available for the Black Love Concert because he has not been billed to perform as of the time of the interview.

Strongman’s current single “Mokobe” featuring Wendy Shay was produced by KC Beatz.
