Former President John Dramani Mahama Suspends Campaign Tour In The Ashanti Region To Mourn Ex President Rawlings Death

Leader and flagbearer of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) has suspended his political campaign in the Ashanti region to mourn his party’s founder, Jerry John Rawlings who died in the early hours of Thursday, November 12, 2020 at the Korle Bu Teaching Hospital.

Though details that led to his death from the hospital has still not been given but sources close to the family of the former President has confirmed he has passed on.

“I have announced the suspension of my tour of the Ashanti Region and all NDC campaigns across the country, following news of the passing of our Founder and former President of Ghana, Jerry John Rawlings.
May his soul Rest In Peace” Mr. John Dramani Mahama wrote on his twitter handle.

The suspension is to commiserate with the Rawlings family on the loss of such a great son of the land, former President Jerry John Rawlings.
